Our first ginger bread house

Our first ginger bread house.
By I'ris and Sophia :) We had so much fun building our ginger bread house (even though I'ris ate the last dozen candy balls that go around the house!!). My WHOLE house smells like mmm mmm ginger bread :-)
A finished master piece!! Can you tell I'ris she was eating a piece of candy from the house already??
HINT....look at her mouth!! LOL

Sneaky Reaky!!! Busted her eating the icing off the side of the ginger house!!

Ornament Creations for X-mas '08

I decided to make this a memorable Christmas for I'ris and myself, by creating our own ornaments for our Christmas tree. We made 8 plastic ornaments that were decorated with different color foam shapes and decorated with gold glitter.
First, we decorated the plastic ornaments with colored foam shapes.
We had RED, SILVER, BLUE and PURPLE ornaments, with GREEN, LIGHT BLUE, RED, and WHITE foam shapes. Then we added a little glue so our GOLD glitter would stick. Then, time for glitter!!!! And, there you have it!!! Our beautiful ornaments!!We also made Snowflake ornaments. Glitter always makes ornaments stande out. We had so much fun creating our Christmas ornaments. We glued, we glittered, we foamed, we listened to Christmas music, but the best part was we got to spend quality time that I hope my daughter will remember just a little part of with the help of these ornaments :)

My Princess the Baker!!!

Well, every day is something new and fun, either heard or seen with my little princess (so she says she is) I'ris. Before returning from Las Vegas from my uncles wedding, Grandma made sure I'ris had something that every grandma would like to experience with their grandchild, a Baking set!! She was soo excited that she could hardly wait to get home and back something.
She did not care if she mixed cereal with milk! As long as she got to put her new baking set to use. It just to happened that I had cookie dough in the fridge so, I showed I and she took out her handy dandy measuring spoons and scooped out spoonfuls of dough onto her baking sheet while I turned on the oven. She calmly waited for the oven to be ready by continuously organizing her dough on the baking sheet.

And, vwala!!! We enjoyed cookies ala I'ris with a nice big glass of milk!!
